The new Honda CB1000R 2021 receives major changes to continue being one of the most important novelties in the naked motorcycle segment, but with a «neo retro» style and a lot of technology surrounded by minimalism. As a novelty, Honda expands this model with the «Black Edition» version.

Honda Motos has recovered within its catalog a model with a lot of history behind it, the CB1000R. But with a new vision and a design that has not left anyone indifferent since its launch, as is customary for the “Golden Wing” brand.

The new CB1000R  needs few introductions at first glance thanks to its new design. A retro Neo Sports Café touch, minimalist, but that embodies the essence of the brand.

At the engine level, Honda has equipped the CB 1000 R with a 998 cc DOHC four-cylinder, which is derived from the CBR1000RR Fireblade. It delivers a maximum power of 143 hp at 10,500rpm and a torque of 104Nm at 8,250rpm. This model is going to position itself as one of the most powerful naked bikes in the segment thanks to its acceleration and maximum speed and it already complies with the Euro5 regulations.

To handle all this power, Honda has equipped the new CB1000R  with a comprehensive suite of electronics, starting with the electronic throttle. It has 3 pre-programmed driving modes (Rain / Standard / Sport) plus 1 user-configurable USER mode.

It also comes equipped with three levels of Power (P), Engine Brake (EB) and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC); the HSTC can also be switched off (off position).

At the cycle part level, this Honda naked motorcycle model has a new single-column steel frame, lighter and shorter than in the previous version. Despite this, the wheelbase is 10mm longer to support the new single-sided swingarm.

Regarding the suspension equipment, the new Honda CB1000 R  arrives equipped with Showa Separate Function front fork and Large Piston, fully adjustable. The rear suspension is handled by a Showa shock with adjustable preload, compression and rebound.

To slow down this maxi naked, the Japanese brand has equipped it with two 310 mm floating discs bitten by two four-piston calipers and radial anchoring. On the rear wheel it mounts a 256 mm disc with 2-piston caliper. All brake equipment works in conjunction with a 2-channel ABS.

At the design level, the new Honda CB1000 R  stands out for the absence of the use of plastic and most of its components are made of premium metal and inspired by cafe racer motorcycles . As a novelty in 2021, it receives a new color TFT screen that has the Smartphone Voice Control (HSVC) system and that allows you to manage different actions with the motorcycle or mobile phone.

With a neo retro style, it arrives equipped with a set of lighting system that uses LED technology in both the front and rear lights. The instrumentation panel is via LCD screen, where all the usual information is displayed.

The new Honda CB 1000 R  has a curb weight of 212 kg, with a seat height of 830 mm and mounts 17-inch wheels shod with 120/70 ZR17 front and 190/55 ZR17 tires. With a capacity in the fuel tank for 16.2 liters and a consumption estimated by the brand of 17.2 km / liter, it will offer a wide range.

Honda has also developed a complete accessory kit for the CBR100R  to be customized consisting of: Quick Shifter, heated grips, ACC socket, Instrument visor, seat cover, aluminum panel for the front fender, aluminum rear wheel, Alcantara driver and passenger seats, tire adhesive, engine cover protector, tank protector patch, tank and seat bag and ATT.

Among the rival bikes of the CB1000R we must mention the  Triumph Speed ​​Triple 1200 RS , the new  Yamaha MT-09 , the  Ducati Monster 1200 , the  Husqvarna VITPILEN 701  or the  KTM 790 Duke / A2  among other models.

The price of the Honda CB100RR  is 16,400 euros * and it is already available for order in Spain in three color finishes: Chromosphere Candy Red, Matte Ballistic Black Metallic and Beta Silver Metallic.
